We're off to the Byron Bay Underwater Festival for 5 nerd filled days of diving, marine talks, and a photo competition! Hopefully we'll win some prizes! Maybe...

Graham won a photography prize!

Well, we had a fantastic few days in Byron Bay planned at the Byron Underwater Festival and right on cue, Nic's bulging disc in her back flared up. So she spent 4 days pretty much lying in bed whilst Graham went out diving. To say she was/is utterly devestated would be an understatement.

However Graham, the trooper that he is, went out on his own to enter the photography competition without his top spotter in Nic.

He got third place in the SLR category with the above shot of an angler fish and is feeling particularly chuffed with himself! Although he unfortunately missed out on the better prizes of holidays. Next time maybe!

We thought that Molly needed a friend, so we got Myrtle, a Manx Cross with a tail!. They're not the best of friends just yet but we're working on it! Click on the image above for a few photos.

What do they look like!

Sara has arrived for three weeks of sun, sea, sand and lots of fun! The silly things people do on beaches...

The first weekend was spent in Nelson Bay, one of our favourite places in the NSW coast (largely because the diving's so good!). We'll definitely get a proper update on here very soon...!
